Summer opening hours (June–August):
Monday closed, Tuesday–Friday 10:00–18:00, Saturday 10:00–15:00, Sunday 13:00–16:00.
Outside the summer season (September–May):
Monday closed, Tuesday–Friday 9:30–16:00, Saturday 10:00–15:00, Sunday 13:00–16:00.
Religious services may affect opening hours. Ticket sales end 15 minutes before closing.
Please dress modestly when visiting the church. Men should remove their hats when entering the church. Photography is allowed without flash. However, during religious services please refrain from taking photos or video. Please do not touch the artifacts. Avoid loud conversation and respect other guests.
The sale of tickets ends 15 minutes before closing. Please check our website/Facebook for changes in opening hours due to religious services.
Uspenski Cathedral is easily accessible by trams 4, 6T, and 7T. The nearest stop is at Tove Jansson Park. The cathedral is also within walking distance from Helsinki Central Railway Station.
A paid parking area is available on the cathedral grounds. Additionally, a city bike station is located at the foot of the cathedral hill.
The cathedral’s accessible entrance is located at the main doors. Visitors arriving by car can access it as follows: Upon reaching the cathedral, instead of turning into the parking lot, turn right and follow the ramp up to the upper terrace. Drive around the church to reach the main entrance, where you will find a wheelchair lift. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will assist you with entry into the cathedral.
